Judaism and Evolution
Judaism teaches that our souls are characterized by two opposing tendencies—one toward altruistic spirituality and one toward self-interested carnality. Evolutionary biology theorizes that creatures adapt to their environment using two contrasting strategies: cooperation and competition.
This lecture reconciles Jewish spirituality with Darwinian science, revealing how both arrive at the same truth: that only a dynamic balance of self-concern and care of others, rivalry and mutualism, creates an environment in which we can prosper and evolve, and keep evolving.
Judaism and Evolution is a 90 minute lecture. For bookings or further inquiries, please visit this website’s Contact page.
