Indra’s Net: Buddhism and Systems Theory
Chinese Hua Yan Buddhists imagine existence as a divine net of jewels woven in such a way that each reflects every other, infinitely. Systems theory describes our universe as a collection of elements organized in such a way that each affects every other, always.
This workshop explores the intersection of Buddhist philosophy and systems science, illuminating the interdependent relationship between parts and wholes—self and God, ego and consciousness, constituent and community—and the ultimate purpose of living.
Indra’s Net: Buddhism and Systems Theory is a 90 minute lecture. For bookings or further inquiries, please visit this website’s Contact page.
